Senior Technology Consultant/Solutions Architects (2-3)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Technology Consultants may also be responsible for working with customers to
scope, architect, design and develop custom software solutions, as well as
develop in-house custom applications or manage a team of contracted developers.
Consultants should have a wide range of experience in the
Software Development Lifecycle. This ranges from translating high-level business
requirements to more detailed product and technical requirements, estimating
implementation activities to devising in-depth QA test plans and strategies.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills and
problem-solving abilities and demonstrate a passion for working with external
clients. Most engagements involve a small, dynamic team working with Fortune 100
customers and team resources spread across multiple time zones. Project
activities can vary greatly between different products, customers and
engagements so a wide variety of experience and desire to learn new technologies
and skills is important. Experience and flexibility with distributed project

REQUIRED SKILLS
& EXPERIENCE
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and proven delivery record
- Self-motivated, flexible, and team player with strong leadership skills
- Ability to make decisions in adverse conditions
- Solid organizational skills and strict attention to detail
- 3+ years object-oriented design experience on enterprise-class software
- Applied experience with application servers (WebSphere & Resin)
- Strong background in J2EE architectures and related technologies (JSP, Servlets, JMS, JDBC, etc.)
- Experience with RDBMS as an application developer
- Experience with large-scale software projects with emphasis on
functionality, performance, supportability, and documentation.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Single Sign On (SSO) Technologies and practices
- .NET development experience
- Applied experience with webservices in .NET or J2EE
- Experience with MVC (JSP Model 2) architectures and using frameworks
similar to Struts
- Experience within the financial services technology sector a plus

COMPENSATION &
BENEFITS
This is a contract position. Duration for the contract
is currently budgeted at 2-3 months with the possibility of an extension. Work will take place at the clients corporate offices in
Redwood City, California (in the Bay Area, south of San Francisco). The pay rate will be based on how well the candidates skill level and and years of experience match our clients requirements.
Some expenses will be covered.
W-2
or 1099 employment arrangements will be considered and candidates must have
either US Citizenship, possess a valid Green Card (due to the short nature of the contract, we cannot sponsor candidates for H1 visas).
