JOB DESCRIPTION

The ETL Architect position requires a senior level technical professional who will be responsible for the architecture and design of data movement and cleansing processes for data centric applications.  The ETL Architect is also responsible for technical leadership and mentoring for junior level staff resources as well as assisting with the development and delivery of the technology strategy for Data related initiatives and Business Intelligence

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Visualize, architect, design and deliver the data movement framework to improve consistency, quality and reduce the redundancy in code for repeatable tasks.

• Define and implement the Policies, standards and guidelines for Data Movement

• Drive quality of data movement solutions delivered by ETL practice

• Conduct peer reviews for ETL architecture, design and code for all Data movement initiatives

• Participate in Architecture Reviews

• Formulate the Architecture and design artifacts

• Formulate the Support documents along with Operations team for establishing the robust post project ETL operations

• Provide the technology / approach (ETL/EAI) to be used for the delivering solutions

• Work as a member of the delivery team to implement reporting and analytic solutions to our business partners.

• Develop data movement and data quality processes in support of reporting and analytic applications.

• Provide delivery leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

• Assist in the development of processes and methodology across delivery teams to assure consistent, high quality deliverables.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or management discipline; or equivalent professional experience

• 10 to 12 years of experience in ETL / data Movement

• Experience in EAI technology using Sonic, Tibco, MQ Series is plus

• Minimum 57 years of experience developing business intelligence solutions.

• Experience with Informatica and other ETL tools like Ab Initio, Data Stage, and SSIS in a high volume environment.

• Experience designing and developing ETL processes for an Oracle and Teradata databases, appliances like Netezza

• Experience tuning database/ETL applications and SQL.

• Working knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques.

• Knowledge of data quality approaches and techniques required.

• Experience with data quality tools like First Logic, Trillium

• Experience with other market leading BI technologies such as Microstrategy a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a contract to hire position located in the Perimeter Mall area of Atlanta.  Attire is business casual.  Contract billing rate and annual compensation will be determined based on a combination experience and skills.
