Prince Charles to Visit Highlands of Scotland

The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles is going to visit the north Highlands of Scotland soon, to see the progress of a scheme to help the economy of the area. The North Highland Initiative (NHI) was launched in August 2005, by Prince Charles, who is popularly known in Scotland as the Duke of Rothesay. The initiative was taken for the development and promotion of the economy and for supporting the rural regional communities.
The local businesses, the farming community, and the tourism industry are brought together by NHI for addressing some of the challenges faced by the rural communities in the north of Scotland.
He will travel Scottish highlands and will be meeting representatives from different bodies who are involved in the promotion of the area at the Storehouse of Foulis in Evanton, Ross-shire. This includes the North Highland Tourism and North Highland Products. He will also be visiting a small farmers' market and will sample local cheeses, biscuits, meat and vegetables over there.
